Moab

This weekend we made a last minute decision and headed down to Moab. We did a little hiking, a little sightseeing, and even some off-roading in an all-American machine - the pick-up. We visited Arches National Park (just outside of Moab) to see that funny arch that is on all of the Utah license plates. We camped by the Colorado River, and survived a windstorm that blew a lot of dirt into our tent in the middle of the night. We woke up in the morning covered in a very fine layer of dust. Mmmmm....camping.

Delicate Arch.

Rocks.

Taking a break while off-roading.

Clark and Meghan, enjoying the campfire.

Whistler

I recently got to hang with some old buds up in BC. Whistler is the largest ski resort in North America - it can make even the best skier's legs burn. Here are the pics:

Going for a little hike.

Here is a small run we did.

Canadian sushi.

Two more satisfied customers!

No Friday Joe. And no Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday, or Thursday.

Gross

Have you ever seen this much snot? Neither had we - even from a cat.

Relaxing in the mountains

View from the back of the train.
Last weekend we took a trip on Amtrak to a little town in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Mmmmmm...warm....
While there we spent a lot of time in the world's largest hot springs. The water is so hot that they have to pump cold water in just so people can get in the tub. It is one of the largest pools we have ever seen.
Look at that view!
After a short gondola ride, we sat above the town and had lunch before we explored some caves.
We went soooo fast.
Up on the mountainside, we went on a little ride on a go-cart-on-tracks. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!
